Comedy Night

The 17th Annual Comedy Night was put on by the Mission Viejo Elks Ladies on October 3rd and a great time was had by all. Guests were greeted at the door by Sandy Jacobs and welcomed into the “Night Club” atmosphere of the Lodge.  The eighty eight Elk members in attendance had an evening filled with laughter provided by host and comedian Matt Donaher. Comedienne Cindy Burns kept all in stitches with her take on the maturing woman and headliner Chris Cobbler had the crowd roaring with his off the wall stories and impressions. All three of these outstanding talents have been on television and perform in some of the top comedy clubs around. A scrumptious dinner of pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and carrots was expertly prepared by Elks volunteers Dennis Boelts and Kevin Lindley and served by Elks Ladies Club members. President Irene Romero thanked all who were vital in setting up the event and introduced ER Camacho Alverez and the dignitaries in attendance as well as thanking all those who came out to enjoy the evening. This evening’s profits, as are all the functions held by the Elks Ladies, go towards the many charities the Elks support.
