CHEA 101st Annual Convention

The California Hawaii Elks Assn 101st Annual Convention at the Anaheim Marriott wrapped up on Sunday on a very high note. Today’s overwhelming announcement was the CHEMPI $3,000,000 in donations and the introduction of the 2016 California Hawaii Elks Major Project Inc. Theme Children, Emilio and Marcos. Emilio (5) and Marcos (3) were born with a rare genetic disorder. So rare, that the name / label or DNA address has not been identified to date. Both boys have hypotonia, low muscle tone. Emilio has apraxia of speech, he just says a few words, but understands what you say. He knows over 300 signs and uses about 30 in conservation. Emilio and Marcos are both globally delayed and have a great deal of hard work ahead of them.

BPOE Grand Exalted Ruler, Ronald L. Hicks, greets the 2016 Theme Children, Emilio and Marcos.

Because of the generous donations of CHEA members we can celebrate the milestones that Emilio and Marcos have accomplished. These boys, along with so many other children, will receive the help they need while they “Kick Up the Dust” spreading a positive message of hope and happiness to everyone they meet. Donate to the Purple Pig. Elks Care, Elks Share.
