The Elk of the Month for August was initiated 4 years ago, but if it feels like you have seen Janet Griffin around the lodge longer that would be because she was already volunteering with our Ladies. Her husband, Ed, was already a member and she decided that she could do more as a member and decided to join herself. Although the work that Janet does each month editing our award-winning bulletin is behind the scenes, it does not go unnoticed. Janet has been a volunteer in our kitchen for various events over the years and as a member of the ladies she has also helped with their annual fashion show. If you run in to Janet this month, please thank her and let her know how much we appreciate her contributions.
