Blankets for the Brave

Mission Viejo Saddleback Valley Elks and Esperanza School for Special Needs Children continued the partnership with Blankets for the Brave. Thru a grant form the Elks National Foundation, Esperanza was able to purchase material for the students to hand-make branch-of-service blankets for veterans. Coined “Blankets for the Brave” by Lecturing Knight and Special Needs Outreach Chairman, Lane Keran, the students made over 40 custom blankets that were takes and given to veterans at Long Beach Vets Hospital when Elks went to play Bingo during the holidays. What a fantastic effort by the students and the Elks.
