Busy Month of Giving for Santa’s Elks

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]December for the Mission Viejo, Saddleback Valley Elks is the busiest month of the year. Elks volunteers are up and ready for a full schedule of charity events that include a Christmas visit to the Veterans Hospital, the Christmas party for men and women with special needsthe Adult Transition Program Holiday Dance, Best Buddies Christmas Party, Wreaths Across America Placings at local Veterans Cemeteries, Santa and his Elk Elves Christmas tree decorating at the House of Hope, and the Elks Annual Memorial Remembrance Service.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3310″][vc_single_image image=”3314″][vc_empty_space height=”25″][vc_column_text]Sandwiched in between the many scheduled charitable events, Elk members will find time to celebrate the season at the Snowflake Ball put on by the Elks Ladies Club, a Lodge Tom & Jerry party, a Christmas Eve Dinner, and a gala New Year’s Eve dinner dance. When asked about the busy December schedule, Exalted Ruler Jamie Camunas said, “It’s a festive time of year and even though we take a little time to enjoy ourselves, our fellow members, and our wonderful Lodge, we never forget the many people who are so much in need of our help, and we always do our best to make Christmas a happy time for them.”[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3312″ alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space height=”25″][vc_column_text]Joining in the festivities this year are 13 new Elks.

It is one of 8 lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 151-year history of giving. “Elks Care Elks Share”.
