Last weekend, Mission Viejo Elks Veterans Committee hosted a lodge fundraiser, packed with veterans, members and friends for BEST, Brain Education Strategies Technology. The mission of BEST is to develop, research, implement and disseminate the best practices for apps and training for the benefit of people with conditions that affect the brain. The Mission Viejo Elks Veterans Committee and Bingo Charity has donated multiple iPads to BEST to support the veterans in need. A silent auction topped of the evening of fundraising to support BEST.
Pictured with Exalted Ruler, Mike Klinger, is Mike Brigandi, a World War ll Veteran. Mike was with the 234th Combat Engineer Battalion and on June 6, 1944 landed on Omaha Beach. At 93 years old, Mike enjoyed the BEST Fundraiser and even did a few line dances! Mike, thank you for your service.
